Hashbrown Casserole

Hashbrown Casserole


1 package frozen hash browns, thawed
1 stick butter, melted
1 can condensed chicken soup
1 small package sour cream
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar, divided.
Salt + pepper to taste


Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Empty the package of hash browns into a large mixing bowl. Pour over the melted butter and stir together.
Add in the soup, sour cream, onion, salt, pepper and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese into the bowl and mix well.
Spray a 13 x 9 inch casserole dish with spray oil and pour in hash brown mixture. Spread out the mixture evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over top.
Bake for approximately 40 minutes, until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
