Makes 12 brownies

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Melt the butter over a low heat on the stove. Stir in the cocoa until smooth. Set to one side to cool a little
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt. Whisk together.
In a large mixing bowl (or the bowl of your stand mixture) add in the cocoa butter mixture. Whisk in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the vanilla.
Add the flour mixture into the cocoa mixture and stir until just combined. Add in the chocolate chips and stir through.
Pour mixture into a greased 8x8 square pan. Bake for about 30 minutes. Make sure not to over-bake: the brownies should be gooey.
Cool and cut into 12 pieces
