BBQ Meatballs

Makes 4 servings

For the Meatballs
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 small can of evaporated milk
1 cup chopped onion

For the Sauce
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 cup chopped onion


Preheat oven to 350°F.
Break egg into a mixing bowl, add spices and beat lightly with a fork.
Add milk and onions and mix together. Mix in ground beef. Form beef mixture into 20 meatballs and place into a glass casserole dish.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350°.
While the meatballs are in the oven, put all the sauce ingredients into a small saucepan and bring it slowly to a boil stirring occasionally.
After meatballs have baked for their initial 25 minutes remove them from the oven and pour the sauce into the casserole dish, covering all the meatballs. Stir and bake for a further 20 minutes.

Serve with mashed potatoes and corn.
